KAUST's Treated Sewage Effluent –TSE- irrigation network spans approximately 23 km, covering key areas such as the Golf Course, Safaa Stadium, and Main Road #1. The network is part of KAUST's commitment to sustainability, supported by its advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, which uses membrane bioreactor technology to treat 11,500 m³ of domestic wastewater daily. The treated water, meeting international standards, is used for irrigation across the campus. The plant produces an average of 4,100 m³ of treated water daily, with operations controlled via an advanced PLC and HMI/SCADA system, ensuring optimal efficiency.
