Pet Services
Pets are cherished members of many KAUST households, and we strive to ensure a harmonious environment for pets, families, and the community. KAUST provides a pet-friendly ecosystem, regular visits from a veterinarian and grooming services, and clear pet ownership guidelines.
The Guidelines are provided to support responsible pet ownership and ensure a safe environment for everyone. Pet owners are responsible to read and adhere to the Guidelines for the Ownership of Pets in the community which covers areas including:
If you are planning to bring a pet to KAUST or adopt a pet, please be aware of the species that are allowed in the community. All pets must be registered upon their arrival to KAUST. Animals that are found not to be registered may be treated as strays.
Pet registration is mandatory for all cats and dogs to ensure a safe and healthy community. The process is simple and free of charge.
Pet owners only need to register their pets once using the link below. If your pet was registered in 2023, no further action is required. Upon leaving KAUST, pet owners must de-register their pets. If rehoming, ensure the pet is registered under the new owner’s name before departure.
Failure to comply with these requirements may result in disciplinary action.
