A tidy backyard not only provides an excellent and safe area for adults and children alike, but it also reduces habitat for other, unwelcome wildlife. The main maintenance activities of the landscape at your backyard include the following:
Mowing: Cut your lawn with a frequency that will prevent an unkempt appearance and the formation of seed stalks. Maintain your lawn height at approximately 30mm.
Weeding: A weed is a plant growing where it is not wanted. Weeds compete with your plants for water, soil nutrients, sunlight, and gaseous components of the air needed for growth. Cultivation and hand removal (hoeing, pulling, etc.) is the safest and most common method for controlling weeds in small home gardens. Mulching also controls weeds by preventing light from reaching the weed seedlings
Fertilization: Applying fertilizers is essential to promote growth and maintain health and good appearance of your lawn and other plants at your backyard. Please find below
Pruning: Pruning should be done to remove “3D” (Deformed, Damaged & Diseased plants’ parts), to balance Growth, to achieve certain plant shape, to control/restrict growth & to boost production of new & vigorous growth. Pruning should be avoided in hot seasons.
Irrigation System Inspection: Inspect your irrigation system regularly to ensure spray heads and distribution lines are in full working order. Report any observed malfunctioning of your irrigation network to the Call Center (call 959) for free repair of your irrigation system.
