Hatha is a potent alignment-oriented practice that emphasizes the forms and actions within yoga posture. Traditional asanas are held in accurate alignment.
Emphasis is placed on
core strength, flexibility and balance as well as concentration and breath control. This class is based on physical postures, deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body.

​Ashtanga yoga is recommended for students with at least one year of consistent vinyasa practice. This class covers the full primary series of the ashanga system, as taught in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India.
This set sequence of advanced postures utilizes ujjayi breath and bandhas (energy locks) to increase muscular strength, flexibility and concentration.

The basics of yoga practice introduced in beginners yoga class will serve as foundation for each class sequence. This class uses a combination of movement, postures and breath to work on strength, flexibility and balance.
Some yoga experience is helpful, although not required. Classes are open to everyone with the ability to move through seated, standing, kneeling and reclined positions unassisted.
