The Red Sea Cyclists Community Club brings together cycling enthusiasts throughout KAUST. We promote all forms of cycling for commuting, health, recreational, and competitive purposes. The road cyclists normally meet on Monday and Wednesday mornings. They depart from the Gas Station at 5:30 a.m. sharp, depending on personal preference and preferred speed. The route is approximately 30 km and takes around one hour. The groups start and finish at the Gas Station.
For beginner road cyclists or cyclists who have not been riding for some time, please contact us to discuss where you will best fit in.
Members occasionally organize weekend group rides off-campus.
A group of experienced mountain bikers organizes “outrides” in the desert hills almost every weekend, leaving campus around 5:00 on Fridays. Contact Alma or Heiko.
We occasionally organize MTB family-fun-outrides depending on demand.
RSC organizes rides to local competitions and gets involved in annual community events such as the KAUST Bike Race, KAUST Triathlon, and multiple activities during Bike Week.
Please find the club charter here for more information on how we run the club.
