Building on the previous year’s popularity and success, Campus and Community is bringing to you the third edition of this exciting Run for a Cure to raise awareness and support for breast cancer.
We all have connections to someone who is currently fighting or has fought a battle against cancer. Did you know that breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women (less than 1% of cancer diagnoses is in males), and every 14 seconds, somewhere in the world, a woman is diagnosed with it?
A breast cancer diagnosis can be a life-changing event, and "fighting" breast cancer involves a multi-faceted approach that includes medical treatment, emotional and practical support, and lifestyle choices.
Participation in events like Run for a Cure brings us one step closer to our goal of raising awareness and showing support to the people who really need it.
We encourage you to bring family, friends and external visitors to take part in this special event, either individually or in a team.
Don't just watch the change, be the change!
