As part of the Rectification of Coastal Marine Resources (CMR) Life Support Systems (LSS) for the SeaLABs Project, work will take place for the new Pipeline along South Research Road.

The closure has been planned to minimize traffic disruption while ensuring access to critical services and KAUST buildings.

  • Access will be maintained via the north direction of South Research Road.

2. KAUST Parking Access

  • The western entrance to KAUST parking on South Research Road will be closed.
  • Vehicles will be redirected to the eastern entrance during this period until the completion of the works.

3. Full and Partial Road Closure on South Research Road

  • The closure will occur in three phases from March 2025 to May 2025.
  • Work will include road cutting, excavation, seawater line installation, and asphalt paving.
