The  Art Club offers classes, workshops, and two studios where members can attend workshops run by art teachers, and also work on their own projects.

Register for the Art club classes. The Art club is offering workshops in oil painting, ceramics, clay polymer modelling and kids’ art. Classes take place at the Island Recreation Club’s art and ceramic studios. 

The following workshops are available starting in April, 2025. Register for Art Club classes by clicking on the links below:

Sundays: Oil Painting Workshop: Learn classical oil painting techniques from a very experienced art teacher, for beginners, intermediate and advanced painters.

Tuesdays: Ceramics Workshop: You will learn to throw pots on a pottery wheel, and how to hand-build pinch pots, coil pots and slab pots.

Wednesdays: Clay Polymer Modelling workshop: You will learn to make models using clay polymer, how to add the details and how to paint them in acrylic paints and finally, how to attach them to a wooden board to display your model beautifully.

Saturdays: kids’ art workshops: These classes are for K1 – G5 kids. There are two classes: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 

Start date: Saturday, April 26, 2025.
