KAUST and the Saudi Archery Federation Sign MoU to Advance Research, Innovation, and National Sports Development

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and the Saudi Archery Federation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation in research, innovation, and the development of archery in Saudi Arabia. The partnership supports the Kingdom’s scientific and athletic advancement while developing national talent.  

The MoU was signed by Engineer Turki Mohammed Alderbi, President of the Saudi Archery Federation, and Engineer Amr Atiah, Vice President for Campus and Community at KAUST. 

The agreement outlines collaboration in hosting tournaments and training camps, developing community engagement programs, encouraging local and international investment and partnerships, and supporting sustainability-related environmental initiatives. It also includes organizing conferences and workshops and enhancing connections between the federation and KAUST’s research enterprises to develop innovative solutions in technology, sports science, and biology.

The MoU places special emphasis on education and training by creating joint training opportunities, offering specialized academic programs for KAUST students, and identifying and supporting young talents through educational initiatives. It also calls for advanced scientific research to enhance athletic performance and examine the health impacts of physical activity.

This partnership reflects KAUST’s commitment to building strong ties with national sports federations and promoting integration between scientific research and real-world applications, contributing to the advancement of sports and society.
