Computer and Furniture Provision

03 March, 2016

The Computer and Furniture Provision project supports orphans and families in need by improving access to essential learning tools and creating better home learning environments.

KAUST provides surplus computers and furniture from within the University as items become available due to changes in requirements. These resources are repurposed to extend their value and support the wider community.

In partnership with the Albir Charitable Association in Thuwal, KAUST identifies orphaned children and other beneficiaries who would benefit most from this support. KAUST also works with local schools and charitable institutions in Thuwal, Qadimah, and the Jeddah region to assess need and ensure that donated items are distributed fairly and effectively.

This coordinated approach helps ensure that equipment reaches those who can benefit from it most, especially children who need support for their education and home learning.

The project is made possible with the help of dedicated volunteers who assist with the delivery and installation of computers and furniture, ensuring all items are ready for immediate use.
