World Breastfeeding Week Activities

In support of the Baby-Friendly Community Initiative (BFCI) and World Breastfeeding Week, KAUST Health will soon host community activities to promote breastfeeding awareness, maternal well-being, and family support. 

Join us for hands-on demonstrations, expert-led sessions, and dedicated support, open to all mothers and families in the KAUST community. 

Community Support Booth 

  • Monday, August 10, 2026 
  • 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 
  • Main Entrance, KAUST Health  
  • No registration required 

What to Expect 

  • Promote awareness of the upcoming breastfeeding lecture 
  • Distribute educational breastfeeding materials and resources 
  • Provide practical guidance 
  • Engage with community members  
  • Answer questions and share available support services 

Expert-Led Awareness Lecture 

  • Thursday, August 27, 2026 
  • 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Breastfeeding awareness lecture by OBGYN and Pediatric consultants 
  • Two-hour structured educational session 
  • Discussion on breastfeeding benefits and common challenges 
  • Interactive Q&A with healthcare consultants 
  • Guidance and support for mothers and families

These events reflect KAUST Health's commitment to preventive care, health education, and community well-being while supporting Saudi Vision 2030's focus on healthier communities and advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being through maternal and child health.
