KAUST Triathlon 2025 and Future Champs Run Review

The KAUST Triathlon event held on Friday, December 5, highlighted the passion for sports and friendly competition. Over 200 participants aged 16 and up tested their strength in the following categories: 

  • Individual sprint distance: 400m swim, 20 km bike, and 5 km run. 
  • Individual Olympic distance: 1600m swim, 40 km bike and 10 km run. 
  • Relay/team Sprint 
  • NEW Future Champs-2.5k run for youth aged 10 to 16 

A big shout out and thank you to all participants and the cheering spectators for playing a significant role in making the KAUST Triathlon an exciting, fun-filled successful event. 

Special thanks to all the volunteers and sponsors of the Triathlon 2025: Campus and Community, Saudi Triathlon Federation, Student Life and Khuta Clinic. Many thanks also to the families supporting the runners with water in the Island area! 

Winners 

Congratulations to the overall winners in the Triathlon 2025: 

  • Olympic Men's Sprint overall Winner Luis Silva: with the lead time of 2:11:32 
  • Olympic Women's Sprint overall Winner: Giulia Bennici with the lead time of 2:34:03 
  • Sprint Men's overall Winner: Ben Regan with the lead time of 1:05:10 
  • Sprint Women's overall Winner: Anna Rautek with the lead time of 1:16:14 
  • Sprint Team Winner: Chafing the Dream, in a lead time of 1:13:53 
  • Olympic Team Winner: Too fit to quit, in a lead time of 2:14:22 
  • Future Champs 2.5k (ages 10 to 16): The boys’ winner was Tao Criquet Martinez, with a time of 9:57 mins. The girls’ winner was Arush Duraibabu, with a time of 11:54 mins.

This event is organized by Campus Community with support from the Triathlon committee, Student Life, and sponsored by The Triathlon Federation (S3F).
