Calling young engineers, coders and problem-solvers! The KAUST Robotics for Youth Club is now open for expressions of interest from students in Grades 7–10.

The program will run at KAUST and is initiated and supported by KAUST AI & Robotics faculty, with teaching and administration supported by the KAUST Academy. The robotics kits are financially supported by KAUST VisionCAIR, the CEMSE Division, and the Center of Excellence in Generative AI, giving students access to hands-on tools and equipment throughout the program. 

About the KAUST Robotics Club

• A hands-on weekend program (Friday or Saturday, schedule TBD) running from August 2026 through May 2027. 
• Each session is 3 hours and focuses on robot building, coding, and design using Itkan v6 kit for FIRST Tech Competition 2026 and VEX V5 Competition Super Kit kits. 
• Students will work with Competition Super Kits and Classroom Super Kits to explore engineering and teamwork. 
• The program follows a collaborative, scouting-style structure, where parent participation is essential for smooth and effective learning.

Fees

Accepted families are expected to participate with up to 400 SAR per year to cover material expenses and supplies needed to run the program.

Parent participation

Parents are expected to participate in the sessions and support their students throughout the program. This collaborative approach is an important part of creating a positive and effective learning experience.
