Mangrove Planting Initiative
Mangroves are essential to coastal resilience and to Saudi Arabia’s broader environmental goals under Vision 2030. They protect shorelines from erosion, provide vital habitats for marine life, and act as powerful carbon sinks that help combat climate change.
Green Roads
KAUST launched its Green Roads initiative in support of the circular carbon economy. A new initiative in collaboration with Dow Chemical Co, Averda and Napco National, the program uses plastic waste as a raw material for new road infrastructure.
