The graduate employment days provide opportunities to connect with leading companies across tech, research, energy, consulting, and more. This provides local graduates strengthening pathways to employment and professional growth.
The Thuwal Job Center is being created by KAUST and Thuwal Community Center to provide an ‘Employment Hub’, to support local employers and job seekers. It will include an online centralized database where local candidates can register their CVs through an online registration process and provide links to employment opportunities in the local area.
Volunteers from the KAUST HR department arranged a CV writing workshop for women in Thuwal, enabling KAUST to collect and prescreen CVs to form a shortlist for the new Nesma Embroidery project. All the CVs will be added to the Job Centre Database, held online at the Thuwal Community Centre.
Nesma Holdings has created a non-profit organization with a mission to provide secure productive sustainable employment for local women in embroidery centers across the Kingdom. A joint venture agreement was signed with KAUST to provide Nesma's third factory, located in Thuwal.
We want to enhance local individuals’ employability by supporting vocational training and promoting lifelong learning. KAUST carefully designs its training programs to maximize use of its existing skillsbase, while outsourcing where necessary to ensure the needs of the communities are met.
First Aid Awareness sessions were provided on Nov 20, 2025 for female participants from Nesma Factory, promoting health, safety, and emergency preparedness.
KAUST delivered a Food Safety Awareness initiative for female participants from Nesma Factory, promoting safe food handling practices and community well-being on Jan 29, 2026.
The Springboard Women’s Development Program is delivered in partnership with the British Council and is designed to empower women by equipping them with the tools and confidence to set and achieve goals.
Our English programs provide male and female learners with the essential skills and knowledge to improve their existing working capabilities, enable them to seek more advanced employment and increase their competitiveness as candidates in the job market.
The Computer Literacy program is designed to increase the employability of young adults in Thuwal by providing them with basic computer skills and knowledge.
KAUST organizes Administrative and Event Management Training. The first course was for administrators of the Thuwal Community Centre - eight female members of the community center staff attended a course that covered five main basics of administration to enable them to run the Community Centre effectively and at the same time equipping them with transferable skills.
